What does assorted mean?
Assorted means you are ordering a specific type or category of poultry, but not selecting the exact breed, color, or variety you will receive.
What does “assorted” mean when ordering?
When a product is listed as assorted, it means you are ordering from a specific group or category, but our hatchery will choose the individual breeds, colors, or varieties that are included in your order.
This can also sometimes be referred to as Hatchery Choice. Hatchery Choice means that we select the individual breeds, colors, or varieties based on what hatches well and is available on your hatch date.

An example of this would be Assorted Silkie Chickens. When you order Assorted Silkies, we will try to provide as much variety as possible, but specific colors are not guaranteed.
You will receive the Silkie colors that hatch well and are available on your scheduled hatch date.
Need a specific breed or color?
If there are specific breeds, colors, or varieties that you need, it is best to order that breed or color individually instead of ordering an assorted or Hatchery Choice option.
Assorted options are a great choice if you are flexible and would like the hatchery to select a variety for you based on availability.
