Please note that sexing day-old poultry is not an exact science. Because of this, we guarantee 90% accuracy when ordering sexed chicks.
If you order sexed chicks and more than 10% of the chicks you ordered turn out to be the incorrect gender, please let us know. You may be eligible for a credit.
90% Accuracy
We guarantee 90% accuracy on sexed chick orders.
Over 10%
A sexing claim may be eligible for credit if more than 10% of the sexed chicks ordered are the incorrect gender.
10–18 Weeks Old
Sexing errors can only be reported when chicks are at least 10 weeks old, but no later than 18 weeks old.
Important reporting window
Sexing errors can only be reported when the chicks are at least 10 weeks of age, but no later than 18 weeks of age.
We are not able to issue a credit for any reason on chicks that are over 18 weeks of age.
How to report a mis-sexing
To report a possible sexing error, please call or email us so our customer service team can review your claim.
When contacting us, please include your order information and the number of birds that appear to be the incorrect gender.
What information should I provide?
Please keep in mind that we often include extras, so our team may review the number of ordered chicks along with the total number received.

We understand that many customers order pullets for egg laying, and we work hard to sex chicks as accurately as possible. However, because chick sexing is not exact, it cannot be guaranteed at 100%.
